Scott and Treva Nelson have been banking with State Bank and Trust since college. Which means they've been banking with SB&T for as long as they've been banking. And these folks are no strangers to money and finance: Scott has a degree in banking, finance, and accounting from the University of Alabama, and Treva is a CPA.
"We've banked with SB&T since college," Scott said. "Our favorite thing about banking with SB&T is the family-feel of the bank. We can call or text if we have an issue and get help immediately. And there's such a relaxed, hometown feel to the bank."
Scott pointed out he and Treva utilize most — if not all — of the bank's services, and added that his mom started a business with a loan from the bank.
"She started the Gold Connection in the 1980s with a loan from the late Danny McDaniel," Scott said. "The business started as a home-based jeweler business and with the help of SB&T has grown into a very large, successful, multi-line retail store."
The Nelsons primarily work with Dana Peoples, but Scott said he'd be totally comfortable working with any employee of the bank. "We would tell other businesses to use SB&T without hesitation," Scott said. "They will do their very best to work with you and provide you with personal, hands-on assistance."
